Building on a first satisfied customer, AKANEA integrates Kardinal’s route optimization solution into its Freight Forwarding TMS

AKANEA, a software publisher for supply chain professionals, and Kardinal, a specialist in complex route optimization, announce a strategic partnership. By integrating Kardinal’s route optimization technology into AKANEA’s Freight Forwarding TMS, the two companies now offer a combined, high-performance solution tailored to the logistics challenges of international road transport. This collaboration has already been successfully implemented for their first joint customer, SYNVIA, a specialist in customized and sustainable logistics solutions, particularly in the transport and handling of high-value, regulated, and sensitive goods (ADR).

Kardinal brings its recognized expertise in route optimization through its solution ARO (Always-On Route Optimization). SYNVIA: First client to benefit from the integration

AKANEA is currently deploying the integration of Kardinal’s technology into its Freight Forwarding software for SYNVIA, a custom logistics expert acting as freight forwarder in the deployment of this innovation.

To support the launch of a new ultra-seasonal delivery activity for farmers, SYNVIA benefited from a unified solution combining the functional depth of Akanea TMS Freight Forwarding with the algorithmic precision of Kardinal.

Kardinal deployed a light version of its ARO optimization module—enabling Excel data import—in under a month. SYNVIA used the solution daily throughout the season to optimize its heavy truck routes with overnight stays.

Deploying Kardinal’s solution was a true operational lever for launching our seasonal activity. Within weeks, we were able to structure complex delivery routes with overnight stays in a challenging logistics environment.
