Ciblex, a key player in the express delivery sector, is taking a decisive new step by choosing Kardinal to optimize the last mile activities of Walden Express International (Ciblex and Relais Colis).
By integrating cutting-edge technologies dedicated to territory mapping and route optimization, Ciblex is equipping itself to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving market. This ambitious project, carried out in collaboration with several technology partners, marks a major turning point in operational efficiency and delivery management.

Smart optimization tailored to Ciblex’s needs
To address its specific requirements, Ciblex has selected two flagship solutions from Kardinal:
TAO (Territory Analytics & Optimization) for intelligent territory sectorization.
ARO (Always-On Route Optimization) for daily route sequencing within each sector.
One of the decisive factors in choosing Kardinal was its ability to handle large volumes of data — a challenge that other market solutions were unable to meet.
Mélanie Ogier, Project and Innovation Director at Ciblex, explains that the tool needed to meet the specific constraints of Ciblex’s operations.
Managing intra-sector routes, integrating variable operation times based on client needs, and taking into account our various delivery offers required a powerful and adaptable tool. Kardinal checked all the boxes.
A fast and efficient implementation
The project was implemented quickly and efficiently, thanks to the agility and expertise of Kardinal’s teams. Within just a few weeks, the solution was connected to the various systems already in place within Ciblex’s information system:
AiLon, a specialist in artificial intelligence, which enriches delivery point data and predicts the complexity of each route.
Zetes, with its ZetesMedea and ZetesChronos solutions, which digitize hub management, enhance scan reliability, streamline processes, and ensure real-time traceability to the final customer.
Working seamlessly with three technology partners is a rare achievement in the transport and logistics industry. Nevertheless, the integration of these tools went smoothly, showcasing the flexibility and responsiveness of all the teams involved.
Progressive deployment and promising outlook
Today, the solution is already operational at a first site, with deployment across 22 additional sites planned over the coming weeks. Ultimately, Kardinal will optimize the routes of 1,900 drivers, covering between 250,000 and 300,000 parcels per day — enabling Ciblex and Relais Colis to maximize operational efficiency on a large scale.
The Kardinal deployment team consists of technical experts with a deep understanding of logistics challenges. This dual expertise, rare in the market, is a major asset in the operational rollout of such projects.
On their side, the Ciblex project team demonstrated remarkable commitment and exemplary rigor, ensuring a fast, smooth, and trouble-free deployment. The complementarity between the two teams was one of the key factors behind the success of this collaboration.
In my 20-year career in project management, very few initiatives have been implemented with as much smoothness and efficiency as this one.
A strategic vision for the future
More than just an operational improvement, this project marks a profound and lasting transformation of last mile logistics. By investing in the integration of innovative tools to optimize its operations, Ciblex is positioning itself to adapt its service offering to market evolutions and customer expectations.
This project also aligns with Ciblex’s commitment to making environmental responsibility a key pillar of its transformation. By optimizing its operations, the company aims to reduce its CO₂ emissions, reinforcing its dedication to greener logistics.
By equipping itself with the best solutions on the market and building strong technology partnerships, Ciblex is redefining the standards of logistics efficiency. A major step forward, demonstrating that well-executed innovation is a vital lever for combining performance, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility.
